In Memorium: James Leonard "Mr. K" Kirkendoll

James Leonard Kirkendoll, 65, of Shirley was born on September, 4, 1950 in Pee Dee, Arkansas to the late Junior and Iline (Brown) Kirkendoll. James served as the Justice of the Peace for the people of the 3rd District in Van Buren County until his passing on May 22, 2016.

Mr. K was a Justice of the Peace for around 30 years. He was a public school teacher for over 30 years, retiring only to take it up again in the North Central Adult Education GED Program. He was also a volunteer fire fighter, retired Navy commander, and a great musician. Mr. Kirkendoll loved to laugh and cut up with people. And he always did his very best to help them in whatever way he could and made serving others his life's work.

Van Buren County would like to honor the memory of Mr. James Kirkendoll and thank him for his service and dedication to the community and its residents. We would also like to offer our condolences and best wishes to the family. "For every mistake we must surely be learning, still my guitar gently weeps." - The Beatles.
