In Memoriam: Robert "Bogie" Bramlett (JP9)

Robert “Bogie” Bramlett, logger, public servant, and friend to all, was born November 22nd 1947 in the Plant community to Monroe and Floy Bramlett. Bogie served as the Justice of the Peace for the people of the 9th District in Van Buren County until his passing on June 28th 2015.

He was the County Judge from 2003 to 2010 and led the county through recovery efforts after the deadly 2008 tornados and ice storm. Bogie had first been on the Quorum Court from 1993 to 2000. Throughout his life, Bogie would earn a reputation for friendliness, helpfulness, and cheer finding time to help anyone in need in whatever way he was able.

Van Buren County would like to honor the memory of Mr. Robert Bramlett and thank him for his service and dedication to the community and its residents. We would also like to offer our condolences and best wishes to the family. Here’s a coke and candy bar in toast to a fine man.
